DeNami Design Mini Card Blog Hop (hop is linked to my personal blog, not my crafty blog)

DeNami August Blog Hop

When: The blog hop starts on August 14 at 6 AM, PST. However, you have until August 15, 2011, 11:59 pm PST, to leave comments on all the blogs (to be eligible for a prize). Why: To be inspired by beautiful mini cards featuring DeNami Design stamps and also the chance to win mini shopping sprees on the DeNami Design website!Prizes: We are giving away THREE $20 gift certificates to our website! We'll be giving away one gift certificate to a random participant (DT members not eligible) and then we'll also be giving away TWO gift certificates to TWO people who comment along the hop!

You should have landed here from Wendy Elliot's blog. If ya didn't, please go check her out or go back to the DeNami blog to get back on track. Please don't forget to leave her a comment...as you know, we bloggers LIVE for comments, plus, it enters you into the random drawing to win a wonderful DeNami Design gift certificate...now who doesn't love a new stamp?!?! TWO gift certificates to TWO people who comment along the hop...how awesome is that!?!

I must say that this challenge humbled me a tad. When I saw the theme I thought "anyone can do a mini...easy peasy"! Well, yeah...so I thought! With so little room to work, where was all of my much loved layering going to go...it took a little finese, but I think I got it. I am by no means one of those awesome girls that has mastered "clean & simple" cards...That's way beyond my craftiness.

Instead of doing just one card, or a set of the same cards, I decided to do an all occasion set with a matching mini box as a gift for a friend.

for the box I used stamps: PF50 & M73
My cards measure 3" X 3" and the box is 3 1/4" X 3 1/4"
Stamps: B93B94 & PF48

Stamps: PF48PF14 and TR02

Stamps: F102, E58,  D82 & PF48

Stamps: M46, D82 & PF28

Other items I used:
basic card stock
pop dots
tape runner
glue dots
K & CO gems & pearls
DeNami Design Xtra Fine Glitter
assorted ribbons
Versa Mark
Tombow Markers
Archival Ink (black)
Recollections (Michaels brand) chalk ink (Tutu)
Marvy Punches 1 1/2" & 2"

I hope that I didn't forget anything...as always just ask if ya want to know anything about a stamp or technique!

This project was so much fun!! Now off you go to visit Debbie Bonczek. Don't forget to leave comments along the way!! :)

Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think....good or bad....or even better - what would you have done differently??...crafty minds wanna know!

I love your set of cards, and I especially love the little decorated box, too -- did you make that, as well? Such sweet little cards - especially love the bold colors of the black and pink card.
