Baby it's hot outside...

Hi everyone and welcome to another wonderful DeNami Design blog hop. The fun theme this month is SUMMER! Here in St. Louis we are on our 10th straight day of triple digit heat, not just a little over 100 either, we're talking between 105 and 108 everyday! We also haven't seen a drop of rain in well over a month...I say summer is definitely in full swing!

Here are the particulars that ya need to know...
When: The blog hop starts on July 8th at 6 AM, PST. However, you have until July 9th, 2012, 11:59 pm PST, to leave comments on all the blogs (to be eligible for a prize).
Why: To be inspired by fun DeNami Design creations and also the chance to win mini shopping sprees on the DeNami Design website!
Prizes: We are giving away THREE $20 gift certificates to our website! We'll be giving away one gift certificate to a random participant (DT members not eligible) and then we'll also be giving away TWO gift certificates to TWO people who comment along the hop!

Now then, you should have arrived here from Carol Hartery's blog, if not, don't worry, you can always get right back on track by visiting the DeNami Design blog where Paulina has listed all the participants in order :)

Well, here's what I came up with for summer...

I was lucky enough to get my goodies from the new release in time for this hop! I just can't resist this little chickie swinging in a tree...he's uber adorable! I wanted the chickie and tree to stand out but still wanted a "full scene" so I decided to add a little green, blue and yellow chalk to complete the summer scene.

Before you run off to visit the next blog I want to remind you that the current challenge I'm running on the DeNami Addict blog ends tonight so hurry and get your cards submitted. Remember, you don't have to use a DeNami stamp. Now off you go to visit with the Princess of DeNami herself, Paulina Nakamura. I'm betting she has something amazing whipped up for this hop. :)
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Tina I could NOT believe that tree. I was thinking "That's not a Denami stamp.." OH MY WORD girl! You added those leaves to the large winter tree and it looks so incredible. Like it was meant. Holy crow you are amazing! And I love the twine on the swing too. Sweet card Tina.

Tina, awesome card! Love your "scene" and I have to know about that border! Are the flowers punched and then glued on the ribbon? Or did you somehow thread the ribbon through the punches? Either way, I love the effect! (And the green and brown really pop! Super-cute!! :)

The chickie on the swing is so cute. I like the way you wove the ribbon through the die cut. (That is what you did, isn't it?) Anyway, the card is adorable.

I am laughing at this post- the "princess of DeNami"? Too funny! Thanks for the laugh.

This card is so cute, Tina! Love the scene you created. Isn't that Swinging Chickie fun to use? I love him to pieces. Such a great idea to use twine as the "ropes". CREATIVE genius you are!

Oh my gosh . . . I love the detail. You did such a great job. It is adorable! I did some similar things with twine in the last hop, and I'm so glad to see someone else gets a little "creative" with the detail work (my friends think I'm nuts). GORGEOUS!!!!
