Lawnscape Texture Challenge

Whew, what a whirl wind few days! Glad the holidays are almost over...I'm wore out! I did take a little time out this morning to put together a little card for the challenge over at Lawnscape. I got one of those hand held  roller thingys that makes the paper look corrugated in my stocking and just had to try it out...perfect timing for this challenge! Also, I though that there was no time like the present to get started on my Valentines Day cards....
I started with a chocolate card and added the cream layer that I tore and inked the edges of. I then ran a piece of orangey-brown thru the roller thingy and tore the edges. I added a tag (popped up on foam tape) with a little stamping and a fussy cut pine tree (ran through the corrugated roller) and log. I finished it all off with a little twine, wire and bling.

Hope ya liked it and don't forget to check out the other entries over on the Lawnscaping blog!!!

Mimi's shopping trip

Whew, it's been hectic around here...between work, Christmas preparations and baby shower hosting, I'm BEAT!! But, in true Tina fashion, I have risen to the occasion and even pushed harder by entering a couple of hops and this awesomely fun challenge over at DeNami Designs...

This is my 2nd entry actually, hope you like it :)

Can you see the versa marked polka dots on the die cut under Mimi?? I just LOVE me some yummy polka dots!!! I'm really loving her red heels too ;)  I poped her up on foam dots as you can see from the side views to give her lots of deminsion, and did you notice the santa hat on top of her packages? I really enjoyed pulling out one of very my favorite color combos and turning it into a Christmas card...Don't get me wrong, I love a traditional Christmas color theme, but I also like to challenge myself to be different :)

Stamps:
K69 Mimi's Shopping Spree
PF13 Ho-Ho-Holidays stamp set
N133 Polka Dot Background
RB-7313 Lime Grosgrain Ribbon (3/8")

This blog hop is all "wrapped" up....

*pssst, if you are looking for my Lawnscaping it's all about red blog hop that started Friday 12/9, it's one post down. THANKS!!!!

Paulina is trying to kill me, last hop she had me following Wendy Elliot, and as if that wasn't bad enough, now I'm following HER! Holy cow, how am I to function under this kind of pressure??? People like me shouldn't follow such amazing talent...it makes us look even worse! ;)

If you didn't arrive here from Paulina's blog just head on back to DeNami Design's blog ta get back on track. Don't forget to leave those comments gals...DeNami Design is giving away two $20 gift certificates to two randomly picked people that have left comments along the hop, you have till December 12th @ 11:59pm PST!! So be sure to leave everyone a little love….we bloggers live for your comments and besides, who wouldn’t be excited about the possibility of winning a DeNami Design gift certificate??

When this hop theme was announced, I thought it couldn't have worked out better for me! I was stoked. If any of you follow me on the DeNami Addict blog that I co-host with Wendy H., you know that I'm hosting a baby shower. On my list of goodies to make for the shower was gift bags for the game prizes. I've never really done bags...once a long time ago, but it's easier to go to the dollar store...just sayin'. I'm truly lazy and I know it, lol! I wanted to make as many handmade items as possiable for this shower...I want it to be super special and filled with love, so I decided to try and make the bags....
I used a ton of different stamps for these little guys. This project was so much fun, can't wait to make a few more!

Can you believe Christmas is right around the corner?? Paulina keeps throwing in reminders here and there to let us know just how behind we are lol! Just this past Monday she took away my warm and toasty feeling by letting me know we only have 20 days till Christmas....ugggg, so much to get accomplished yet! As a teaser for a certain pink feathered BFF, I thought I'd try out a couple of Christmas themed wrappings that are being sent her way. Now don't go feeling sorry for her because I'm teasing her with her Christmas goodies...she did it to me in the last hop. Paybacks are a ...well, ya'll know ;)  What are friends for...muwahahahahaha
For the swag on the small panel, I used the medium pine tree and stamped it end to end, then carried the theme to the large panel using the sprig from the classic Christmas set
I stamped the candy trifle all over and added stickles to all of them for LOTS of bling...wish pictures could capture it better. I also made the "ribbon" and "bow" using border punches

Well that's it for me. Now off you go to visit with Ruza Rebel. I can't wait to go there myself to see what she has for us!

A little side view...

I deffinately used red! Not a color I reach for usually, but I really love how it turns out when I'm forced to...why is that? I used the dress from Sew Lovely and all the flourishes and flowers are from the petiete floral set. To make a pot / vase for the flowers, I simply turned one of the flags from the bannerific set upside down. I wrapped the "dress panel" a couple of times in a sheer white ribbon then popped it up slightly with foam tape and I added red rhinestones from The Paper Studio for a little bling. Hope you liked it!
Now off you go to visit with Nettie...I'm sure she has something extra special for you! Don't forget to leave comments along the way!!
